Happy Easter!!!

We had a really great Easter weekend. Corbin's parents drove from Las Vegas to visit for Corbins' Mom's birthday and all the Easter fun. They got here on Thursday so we had a little party at home for her with pizza and brownies, then Friday we went out to eat and had the whole family together. It was such a blast. Landin and Jazmin even drove over from Provo. On Saturday we took the kids to IHOP for the "Horton Hears a Who", breakfast. One of the sweet sisters that I visit teach works there and was able to wait on us. She is so sweet, I just love her. Then we went to see the movie. It was so cute. I love the motto, "A persons a person no matter how small." Very cute! Saturday night the boys went to the NCAA Basketball games so we colored eggs with the girls and watched "Enchanted". Sunday was such a beautiful day. If you look closely at the pictures of the kids with their Easter baskets you can see snow outside. It snowed Saturday night, so it was a little weird waking up to snow on Easter. Definitely a first for our family, but by noon all the snow had melted and it was a perfect day! We got up early so the kids could find their Easter baskets and to attend Alan and DeAnne's ward. Logan gave a talk and Lindsay sang the most beautiful song. Everyone was crying. After church we went back to the Smith's house and had an Easter Egg Hunt and a yummy dinner. Mom and I were in charge of the Frog Eyed Salad and dessert, so we made a really cute Bunny Cake. It was a huge hit. Corbin's parents left on Monday and it was so hard to say goodbye again. Poor Elise had to say goodbye right before I took her to school. She cried the whole way to school and then right before she got out of the car she said, "It's okay Mom, I'm okay." I kept her home from school on Friday so that she could hang out with Grandma so all her friends came up to her and gave her a big hug. She really needed that. It was such a nice visit and we can't wait to see them again.

Go Lindsay!!!

Later Saturday we went to watch Lindsay play with her club Volleyball team in a tournament at the convention center. I'm not sure how good they placed, but we have so much fun watching them play. These girls are seriously good. The rules have certainly changed since I played ions ago. The trick is trying to keep the little ones entertained enough to be able to catch the games. Can't wait until the next one!

Pre Easter Fun Filled Weekend!!!

On Friday we headed over to see the Easter Bunny sponsored by Corbin's Uncle & Boss Alan. Ella was very scared, but brave enough to take a very cute picture. Easton was trying his best to wiggle free from Corbin. Then Saturday morning we headed back into Littleton for an Easter Egg Hunt that Alan sponsors every year for their community. I love when kids are little enough that they have no idea what is going on and they just get one thing and they are so excited. That was Ella. She was so happy to just get one egg with candy in it. Elise on the other hand was on a mission to get as many Jumbo Pixie Sticks has possible. I think she walked away with six total. Now that Corbin is working we savor every moment that we have with him. He has no schedule and gets home at a different time every night. So we were so excited that he could attend both of these events with us. I wish I could some how describe how awesome his Aunt and Uncle are. I want to be them when I grow up. They are seriously the neatest family and I just love them to death. They adore our kids and they are just amazing. The best!

Go Logan!!!

We had a great time cheering Corbin's cousin Logan on at his Junior Varsity games this past Jan and Feb. Danny and Amber and I would bring lots of fun things for the kids to do during the games. Hearing Lindsay, Corbin's other cousin, sing the National Anthem was always a highlight. Our kids love their Aunt DeAnne too! Both Lindsay and Logan are such great kids and great examples for our kids and we feel very blessed to be able to support them. Now we are gearing up to cheer on Lindsay at her Club Volleyball games.

The Denver Zoo

So what do you do when you live in Denver and the weather is going to be in the 70's? Go to the Zoo again of course. My mom was back visiting this week and this time my sister Lori was able to come, so off to the Zoo we went again. Obviously the rest of Denver heard about the weather too, because there were a lot of people at the Zoo on Saturday. We had a great time and now I think we may be done with the Zoo for awhile. And what a difference a day makes. We heard on the news that it was going to be in the 30's on Sunday and that we would get about 1/2 in. of snow, so we were some what prepared for cooler weather, but nothing like what we woke up to Sunday morning! It didn't stop snowing until late Sunday night and as Corbin and I were trying to get our three little ones into church in blowing snow we were wondering what were we thinking by moving to Colorado. Actually I was beginning to miss the snow. I love when everything is covered in white, it's so pretty. It's not fun to drive in, but it sure does make a great view out our kitchen window. By the way we ended up getting 7 in.
