Ella turns 5!!!

We had so much fun celebrating Ella's 5th birthday yesterday! We started by making her cinnamon rolls with sprinkles and candles and waking her up by singing "Happy Birthday"! She was so happy to have us in her room singing to her! She spent most of the day at school and at her best friend Kaiya's house having a play date, but last night we took her to Outback for dinner! She loved all her presents! I thought it was so sweet and thoughtful for Elise to get Ella an "Enchanted" book from her library's "drop & swap"! She also loved her Princess Art Kit, her Princess & the Frog watch with lip gloss you can switch out, and her Hello Kitty Bath set! After we got home last night Alan, DeAnne, and Logan stopped by with a little gift and Ella was so happy to see them! You know it's a great day when all she kept saying was, "this is the best birthday ever"! Last night I asked her what her favorite part was and true to 5 year old form she said, "the presents"! We love our Ella Bella so much! She is a sweetheart through and through! She is very kind to all her friends and very obedient at home and we are just so thankful for her sweet spirit in our family!

Best Christmas Ever

At the beginning of the Christmas season I have to admit I was feeling a little blue. It was looking like it was going to be the first Christmas that we would not be with either of our parents. But then the Christmas miracles started rolling or should I say driving for hours, into our home! And it all started with Corbin's parents deciding at the very last minute to come to Devner to be with us. We were so excited and felt very honored. Our kids were over the moon to walk down to the basement one morning and see Grandma & Grandpa standing there. They had no idea! I soon realized that the presents under the tree could never compare to those two people in our house now being trampled on with hugs and kisses by three very deserving kids. However there were still wishes to grant and presents to wrap! We did indeed have "the best Christmas ever", as our Elisepooh kept repeating and I have decided that I always want to be with my family on Christmas morning...always! (our other little miracles are too tender to discuss, but will always be in my heart even when it is not Christmas).
