Fire Fighter Museum

In honor of National Burn Week we got free admission into the Fire Fighter Museum on Saturday. It was actually really neat to walk around and see all the old equipment that fire fighters used to wear. The kids enjoyed coloring a block for the fire quilt that will be displayed for the rest of the month and they also liked the puppet show. It was a fun way to spend a Saturday morning while Corbin was working.

Happy Birthday Honey!!!!

OH how I love this man!!! Just wanted to wish my sweetheart a very Happy Birthday! Corbin is not the kind of man that will feed you a line, rather he is a man of his word and I love that about him. He is true and honest and kind and funny and the best thing that has ever happened to me. Happy Birthday babe. I can't wait to celebrate later (wink, wink).

Father-Daughter Dance

Last Friday was the Father Daughter dance at Elise's school. On the way home from picking Elise up from school she asked me if she needed to take a shower. I told her that I thought it was okay if she didn't since she had taken one the night before. After dinner she told me that she was going to go take a shower so that she would smell good for Daddy. So cute! She was very excited for her date. She came to me already dressed and asked me to curl her hair. Then we took lots of pictures. I love how supportive Ella and Easton were being for not being able to go to they were really happy for Elise. I tool Ella and Easton to Logan's game so that we would have something to do while Elise and Daddy were dancing the night away. After they got home I asked Elise if she had fun. She said "Mom it was awesome they had a chocolate fountain and a guy singing."

Table for two at home?

Last week Corbin surprised me with a romantic dinner at home. He called our dear friend Amber and arranged with her to bring the kids over. On his way back home he stopped and picked up Outback (we had a gift card) and brought it home. When he got home he told me to go upstairs. When I came downstairs he had the table set for dinner including candles and sparkling cider. It was so nice to not have to go and wait for a table on a Saturday night and to just sit there by ourselves. After dinner he went and got a cd of slow songs and we slowed danced in our living room. It was so sweet. To top off the evening he drew me a bubble bath and brought me dessert. We ate carrot cake in the bath. My idea of heaven. It was so romantic and peaceful and quiet. It was perfect. Thank you honey for always taking care of me. I love that Corbin has always gone out of his way to not only tell me that he loves me, but to show me. I can't wait until we can do that again.
