Random Cuteness

Just some cute random pictures of the kids. The first one is of Easton at Target. Doesn't he make such a cute flower? Corbin playing with the kids. We have been waiting for some paperwork to go through for Corbin's license so he was stuck at home again this week. He is so ready to get back to work. Ella and Elise playing together. I always take a picture when this happens, it is rare!

I got tagged!

I got tagged by my friend Bernice a week ago. So here goes...

Ten Years Ago...Ten years ago Corbin and I had been married for 6 months! We were living in Las Vegas in our first little apartment in Green Valley. He had just started his first semester at UNLV and I was working as an Admin. Asst. at Bank of America.

5 Things on my To Do List today...1) Take a shower, 2) Light cleaning (My Mom and Sister are coming to visit this weekend), 3) Read my scriptures, 4) Work on Ella's scrapbook, & 5) Watch American Idol.

Bad Habits...Not exercising (My friend Amber and I just started walking in the mornings this week, so hopefully I will stay consistent), Biting my nails, flossing (I've been doing better though, after I watched Oprah and heard Dr. Oz say that flossing adds 3-5 years to your life!), drinking too much soda (I crave Cherry Coke).

Jobs I've Had...Just for Feet @ the Forum Shops, Wicks n' Sticks, Rite Aid, Bank of America, & Carter's.

5 Things People don't know about Me...This is hard, I'm a pretty open book. 1) I'm very organized. I do Corbin and my laundry on Mondays the kids on Tuesday. I make out my shopping list on Tuesday and go shopping Wednesday night. I clean my house in zones. One zone for each day every other week. I change the sheets on the beds every Friday. 2)I would rather go to Disneyland than any where else in the world. I love taking my kids to Disneyland! 3)I'm a Reality show junkie. I love watching American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, Real world/Road Rules challenge, and my favorite The Amazing Race. 4)I eat chocolate every day. I have it hidden all over the house and when I'm starting to get flustered or stressed I just grab a few chocolate covered raisins. I hide Kit Kat's in my dresser drawers and chocolate chips in the fridge. It's my drug of choice. 5)The only thing I ever really wanted to be besides an astronaut and an archaeologist was a stay at home mom, even before I was a member of the church.

He did it!

Corbin finally passed his real estate exam! We are so relieved and excited. This has been a long journey for our family. We decided to move to Colorado in December of 2006 after we talked with Corbin's uncle over Christmas. Corbin started studying for the exam in June of last year and quit his job in October so that we could get this over with. We put our house up for rent the end of November thinking it would take about 3 months. We were very surprised when it only took 3 weeks. We moved to Colorado on January 1st. We could not be happier here and even more happy now that Corbin can start working again. It's amazing how much lighter I feel. We are so thankful for Corbin's family here. His Aunt and Uncle have been so great to us and we feel very grateful for this opportunity. Yeah Corbin!!!

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

My Mom decided to come visit this weekend and she has been dying to go to the zoo. So when our friends Danny & Amber invited us on Saturday we were so excited. We decided to go to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs about 40 minutes away. Corbin was sadly doing an Open House so he couldn't go. It was beautiful and the weather was perfect. The zoo is tucked up into the mountain and overlooked the whole city. Our first stop were the Giraffes. We must of fed them for about 30 minutes. There were about 20 of them including 3 babies. Ella was a little scared, but Easton was so excited until they actually took his cracker, then he wasn't too happy. After we ate our picnic lunch we headed over to the Hippos and Gorrillas. It felt so good to be outside. It was a great day!

The Park

My friend Amber and I heard that it was going to be in the 50's and sunny last Saturday so we planned a day at the park with the kids and then took them to "Chick-fil-a" for lunch. It felt so good to get outside and enjoy the beautiful day. This Saturday looks to be a repeat so we will be at the park again.

Happy Valentine's Day

Since I have been sick and yesterday was Valentine's Day I didn't think I should have to cook dinner. So we took the our little ones out to dinner at Red Robin. Ella was a little confused and thought that it was my birthday since Corbin brought me breakfast in bed. She kept singing the "Happy Birthday" song to me all day. We had a great dinner and loved just being with our kids on Valentine's Day. Elise was really cute. We were getting into the car and she said "yes, just the five of us". We have been getting together a lot with family lately so it was nice to hear that she still likes hanging out with us once and a while. Corbin and Easton got me and the girls some really cute cards to celebrate Valentine's. Tonight Corbin and I are going to a Stake activity just the two of us. We hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day!!

Happy Birthday Corbin

I once heard someone say that there are three answers to prayer: Yes, not yet, and I have something better in mind. Meeting Corbin was Heavenly Father letting me know that he had something better in mind for me. He is a man that puts God and family first. He takes pride in providing for his family. He always does what I want to do. He is quiet and patient and kind. He has done everything that has been expected of him and he absolutley adores his parents. He his smart and funny and dare I say Sexy (sorry Mom and Dad and Mom). I still get excited when he walks through the door everyday. He is my best friend, my biggest fan, and my eternal companion. After 10 years of marriage it just keeps getting better. His birthday is very important to me, because if he had never been born I would never had known love.
We had a nice dinner at home tonight to honor Corbin. And just so you know his favorite cake is white cake with white icing. So we made him a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. This goes back to that part where he always does what I want. :) The girls did a great job decorating it and I wasn't too shabby with the writing I must say. Living in Denver has taught us some things and one of those things is that you are in Bronco Country, so we bought him a nice warm sweatshirt that he can wear the next time he has to shovel the driveway. We love you honey & Daddy!!!

Daddy Daughter Date Night

Corbin took Elise to the Hannah Montana "Best of Both Worlds" 3D movie on Saturday and then they went out to her favorite restaurant to eat, Olive Garden. She ordered her favorite dish, Fettitune Alfredo. They had a great time and she just loves wearing her 3D glasses around the house.
