It's Easton VS. The Cozy Coupe
Are you really surprised? I mean come on this was only a matter of time people. Don't you know by now that Easton + age 2 + climbs on everything = a black eye. I was of course making dinner at the time, so I didn't see what happened, but from the information I gathered from the 3 year old here's what went down. Easton was on top of the car and Ella slammed on the brakes and Easton went flying. Not sure what he hit his eye on, but you should see the other guy (ha). What was funny was I kept asking him where his boo boo was and he kept pointing to his leg, he didn't mention anything about his eye. It was only later at the dinner table that I asked Corbin if he thought Easton's eye looked puffy. The next morning he woke up and it was swollen shut and then yesterday morning he woke up and it was black and blue. Of course yesterday he also had his 2 year well check. Don't you just love taking your kid to the dr. with a black eye. I was actually glad the dr could look at it and make sure he didn't do any damage to his eye. Corbin and I were laughing that it actually makes him look kinda tough. Don't mess with the kid with the black eye. Yesterday was actually a very brave day for me too. I finally came to the realization that it was time to lose the "baba". I decided to go cold turkey. You know something like this is actually harder on the parents. But as we were walking into McDonald's for lunch I told Easton to give his "baba", a kiss and I tossed it in the trash can. No turning back now. On the way home he was so cute he kept saying "Where baba go?" and I kept saying "baba all gone." And then he would say, "bye baba, I love you." But of course the real realization came when I went to put him down for a nap. He was not happy. I finally got him down and then put Ella down only for him the wake up 45 min. later. Last night Corbin and I took turns sleeping on the floor next to his crib when he woke up. But guess what I just put him down for a nap and he cried for a little bit, but now he's asleep and I didn't have to go in there (knock on wood). It was time and I know it will be nice not to have to keep track of it anymore.

Halloween decorating.
Last year when we went to Disneyland around Halloween time I got inspired by how they decorate the park. There is this one spot in particular called "Woody's Round Up," where they put on a little show and the kids can decorate a cookie and color a Halloween picture. They also have a petting zoo, but last year I took tons of pictures of the decor. This morning I got inspired again and decided that I would decorate our front porch. I think it turned out pretty cute.

In case you were wondering...
Yes the terrible two's have arrived. This is the conversation that took place yesterday downstairs between Ella and Easton:
Ella: "Um, Easton you should really put your diaper back on."
Easton: "Nooooooooo."
Ella: "Easton go see mommy, otay?"
Easton: "Otay."
He then preceded up stairs where he found me on the computer and then threw the diaper over the gate right at me. Lovely. The pictures above were taken after my ill attempt to chase him down and put a diaper back on him.

Dance your little heart out...
We signed up the girls for dance at the rec ctr and they both love it. I was very curious to see how Ella would do. This was her first dance class and she did awesome. They look so cute in their little outfits and I can't wait to see what they put together for their recital.

Happy Birthday Easton!!
Easton turned two almost a week ago. Let's just say life is BUSY! We started off the day by taking him "breakfast in bed". He was a little confused to wake up to me and daddy singing him "happy birthday", holding a pancake with a candle in it, but he had the biggest smile on his face and when we were done singing he said, "again". As soon as Elise got home from school we headed to Danny and Amber's house in Littleton (yes my friend up and left me and moved. How dare she.) We had pizza and let the kids play a little. Then it was off to Mr. Biggs. The kids LOVED the foam factory where they got to shoot foam balls at each other. They also loved playing in "little big city." Where they got to ride bikes and scooters and dress up. After Mr. Biggs we went over to Alan and DeAnne's for cupcakes and ice cream and presents of course! Easton was again a little bewildered as to all the singing, put he LOVED all of his presents. Thank you to our wonderful friends and awesome family that made Easton's birthday super fun. We love you dude!!
