Poor Ella

By now you should know that Ella is our accident prone child. She falls down on a daily basis and most of the time you just pick her up and dust her off and she is good to go, but yesterday that wasn't the case. We dropped Elise off at school and then headed to the car wash. One of the many things I needed to do before we leave town tomorrow. I was putting back something that Easton had taken off a shelf as we were waiting for the car to get done and then I heard it. Mom's you know what I am talking about. It's a cry, but it's not the normal "I fell down and got a little boo boo, cry". It's the "I am bleeding everywhere" cry. And she certainly was. I guess the display that she was playing on collapsed or she fell into it and the metal bracket sliced right through her little cheek. I couldn't really tell how bad it was, but I decided to take her to urgent care just in case. She was so good. She just sat in the chair and didn't cry or move while they cleaned it out really good and the Dr. looked at it. He decided that it did need some stitches, but he wanted to try the glue first to see if that would work and it did. It still looks pretty bad, but she is doing great. Now hopefully (knock on wood), we can get through our vacation with only minor cuts and bruises.

G- I don't know if you're home yet, but I wanted to let you know that Epeli had something called "Herpangina"- it's a throat virus that causes blisters on the tonsils!! He got his fever the night before we left Fiji- they even called the paramedics at San Fran Airport cuz his fever was so high they weren't sure he could fly! So I'm so sorry we missed you- I was stoked to have our first family portraits with you! Anyway, thanks so much and hopefully we can do it sometime soon--
